TechCon® 2008 Program Highlights

TechCon 2008 will feature two, concurrent tracks.  One track will be training oriented, focusing on best maintenance practices  and the other will be of interest to engineers, supervisors, and maintenance and asset managers.

TechCon Introduction

TechCon conferences are now conducted in three regions around the globe: North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. TechCon focuses on the reliability, diagnostic evaluation and maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment with an emphasis on the changing environment of utility practices. Operations, procedures and practices must conform to standards of safety and efficiency - TechCon takes on this challenge by providing a forum for new ideas and solutions.

The TechCon Planning Committee recommended changes that have been  incorporated into this year's conference.  These include a two-track program, lunch with exhibits on both days, a conference dinner sponsored by Hydrodec and an alternate event for non-golfers.

Hydrodec will be sponsoring the TechCon 2008 conference dinner.  The dinner will be held following the Wine & Cheese Tasting and exhibition on Tuesday evening.  We hope that you will make plans to attend.

Dennis Allan will return as the chairman for TechCon 2008. Professor Allan is a Visiting Professor in Power Distribution Engineering at the University of Manchester and he is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the IEE, the I MechE and the IEEE.
